Non-invasive flow and heat meters are very useful if there is a need to measure flow or heat energy in production processes that cannot be or are too costly to be stopped. The reason non-intrusive and especially non-invasive flow meters are so popular is because they do not protrude into the flow, do not come in to contact with fluid and do not generate any pressure losses and are easy to install.

BENCO – in partnership with ART21 – has developed an innovative technology for crop field monitoring, identifying crop stress and recognizing its causes. The solution uses drones to capture crop field spectral data using hyperspectral spectrometry. The data is then process using advanced analytical models, developed by using Machine Learning, Neural Networking and other data analysis techniques. In the end the customer receives an interactive map with that shows field problem areas and in the near future will be made compatible for utilization in smart farming machinery. The technology can be adapted for use on different crops and to estimate plant nutritional state or to recognize the onset of diseases at an early stage.
The use case potential of the technology is currently being demonstrated and tested on-farm in one of the biggest EU agriculture and IoT innovations projects – the ‘Internet of Food & Farm 2020’ (IoF2020).
